Ecuador 4 days Andes and Coast

Starting from Baños de Agua Santa, a popular tourist destination known for its thermal baths and outdoor activities, the journey to Cuenca would take approximately 6-7 in our tour bus.

The first stop on the route would be the Balvanera Church, located in the town of Alausi. The church is a beautiful example of colonial architecture and is known for its intricate stone carvings and ornate altar.

From there, the journey would continue to the Guamote indigenous market, which takes place every Thursday and is one of the largest and most authentic markets in the country. Visitors can browse a wide variety of artisanal crafts, fresh produce, and traditional foods.

The next stop on the route would be the Inga Pirca archaeological site, located near the town of Cañar. Inga Pirca is an important Incan ruin and is believed to have been a religious and administrative center for the Incan Empire. Visitors can explore the ruins and learn about the history and culture of the Inca people.

Continuing on, the journey would take visitors to the city of Cuenca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most picturesque cities in Ecuador. Visitors can explore the city’s historic center, with its beautiful colonial architecture, narrow cobblestone streets, and colorful markets.

From Cuenca, the journey would continue to the coastal city of Guayaquil, with a quick stop at the Malecon Area. The Malecon is a popular waterfront promenade, offering stunning views of the Guayas River and the city skyline. Visitors can enjoy a walk along the riverfront, browse the artisanal shops and restaurants, and take in the vibrant culture of the city.

Finally, the journey would end at Montañita Beach, a popular surf destination on the coast of Ecuador. Visitors can relax on the beach, take surf lessons, and explore the town’s vibrant nightlife and international cuisine.

8:00 AM - Departure from Baños de Agua Santa
Your journey will begin in Baños de Agua Santa, a small town located in the Tungurahua Province. You'll start your journey early in the morning, at around 8:00 AM. You can either rent a car or take a guided tour to make the journey to Cuenca.
10:00 AM - Arrival at Balvanera Church
After about two hours of driving, you'll reach the first destination of your trip, Balvanera Church. Balvanera Church is a beautiful 16th-century church located in the town of Biblián. The drive to Balvanera Church is a scenic one, with views of the Andes Mountains and valleys.
Explore Balvanera Church
You'll have around 45 minutes to explore Balvanera Church. The church is a beautiful example of colonial architecture, and its interior is adorned with beautiful frescoes and murals. You can also visit the church's museum to learn more about its history.
10:45 PM - Departure to Guamote Market
After your visit to Balvanera Church, you'll continue your journey to Guamote Market, a traditional indigenous market located in the Chimborazo Province. The drive from Balvanera Church to Guamote Market is about 1.5 hours, and it takes you through the beautiful Andean landscapes.
12.00 PM - Explore Guamote Indigenouse Market
You'll have around 1.5 hours to explore Guamote Market. This market is known for its traditional handicrafts, textiles, and livestock trade. You can wander through the stalls and see the colorful goods for sale, or you can try some of the local cuisine at one of the food stalls.
1:30 PM - Departure to Ingapirca
After your visit to Guamote Market, you'll continue your journey to Ingapirca, the largest and most important Inca ruins in Ecuador. The drive from Guamote Market to Ingapirca is about 2 hours, and it takes you through the stunning Andean landscapes.
3:30 PM - Explore Ingapirca
You'll have around 2 hours to explore Ingapirca. This archaeological site is located in the Andean highlands and was once an important Inca religious and administrative center. You can see the remains of ancient structures, including a sun temple and a fortress. You can also visit the museum to learn more about the Inca civilization and the history of the site.
5:30 PM - Departure to Cuenca
After your visit to Ingapirca, you'll continue your journey to Cuenca, a beautiful colonial city in the southern Andes of Ecuador. The drive from Ingapirca to Cuenca is about 1.5 hours, and it takes you through the beautiful Andean landscapes.
7:00 PM - Arrival in Cuenca
Upon arrival in Cuenca, you can check into your hotel and then explore the city. Cuenca is known for its beautiful colonial architecture, charming cobblestone streets, and vibrant culture. You can explore the city's museums, galleries, and markets, or you can simply stroll through the city's beautiful parks and plazas.

Your journey will begin in Cuenca, a charming colonial city located in the southern Andes of Ecuador. You'll start your journey early in the morning, at around 8:00 AM. You can either rent a car or take a guided tour to make the journey to Montañita Beach.
10:00 AM - Arrival at Cajas National Park
After about two hours of driving, you'll reach the first destination of your trip, Cajas National Park. Cajas National Park is a stunning national park located in the Andean highlands, about 30 km west of Cuenca. The drive to the park is a scenic one, with views of the Andes Mountains and valleys.
Driver will make stops in the various miradores for picture taking and admiring the landscapes
The park is home to over 250 lakes and lagoons, as well as a diverse array of flora and fauna. You can hike along the park's trails and take in the breathtaking views of the mountains, valleys, and lakes. You can also visit the park's miradores (viewpoints) for panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
11:00 AM - Departure to Guayaquil
After your visit to Cajas National Park, you'll continue your journey to Guayaquil, the largest city in Ecuador. The drive from Cajas National Park to Guayaquil is about 3 hours, and it takes you through the beautiful Andean landscapes and then down to the coastal plains.
2:30 PM - Explore Guayaquil Malecon
You'll have around 2 hours to explore Guayaquil Malecon. This waterfront area is a popular tourist destination and a symbol of the city's revitalization. You can stroll along the promenade, which offers stunning views of the Guayas River and the city's skyline. You can also visit the many shops, restaurants, and museums that line the Malecon.
4:30 PM - Departure to Montañita Beach
After your visit to Guayaquil Malecon, you'll continue your journey to Montañita Beach, a popular surfing destination located on the Pacific coast of Ecuador. The drive from Guayaquil to Montañita Beach is about 2.5 hours, and it takes you through the scenic coastal plains.
6:30 PM - Arrival in Montañita Beach
Upon arrival in Montañita Beach, you can check into your hotel and then enjoy the beach town. Montañita Beach is known for its vibrant nightlife, surf culture, and laid-back atmosphere. You can explore the many restaurants, bars, and shops that line the beach, or you can simply relax on the beach and soak up the sun.
End of the day.
